Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham PCT Funds

Did you know that charitable donations support many of the healthcare services provided by Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham Primary Care Trusts?

When people talk primary care, they mean the range of healthcare services offered in the community close to where people live and work, as opposed to secondary care, which involves healthcare services in hospital. Primary care is provided by family doctors (GPs), PCT community teams (for example district nurses and health visitors), pharmacists (chemists), dentists and optometrists (eye care).

Donations enrich the services offered to patients by supporting staff and improving facilities and amenities which would otherwise not be possible within NHS budgets.

Lambeth Community Care Centre’s garden is a blooming example of how gifts have helped transform an inner city healthcare centre into an oasis of respite and comfort for local inpatients and day visitors. More »

Mental health service users in Lewisham are also benefiting from Charity funding. More »
