Evelina Appeal: Park Plaza Christmas Tree Auction

Plaza on the River and Park Plaza Riverbank London are supporting the Appeal's Tiny Lives campaign this Christmas by hosting a Christmas tree auction.

Some of the world’s most recognised luxury brands such as Fortnum & Mason, Johnny Loves Rosie and Wedgwood have got into the spirit of giving by donating festive trees with a difference, decorated with products worth thousands of pounds.

Evelina patients of all ages have also helped with the auction by decorating a tree with handmade baubles made during their time at the hospital.

The trees will be on display at Plaza on the River and Park Plaza Riverbank London from 18 November, when the auction was officially launched by TV celebrity Christopher Biggins.

Guests, visitors and the hotel's partners will be encouraged to bid for any of the trees in a month long silent auction, with the winners announced on 17 December. If you'd like to bid, call Ms Cinta Gisbert at the Park Plaza on Tel: 020 7769 2404, or enter in person at the hotel by writing the name of your favourite tree on a business card or bidding form along with your bid and drop them in the ballot box available at Reception.

Evelina patient Marieka met Christopher Biggins and helped put the finishing touches on the Evelina tree, saying: "It was great to meet a celebrity, and he was really nice about our decorations. I'm really pleased that so many people are interested in helping me and my friends at the Evelina."
