Local corporate support
A team of employees from local company Postcomm ran the Folkestone Half Marathon at the end of September in aid of the Charity and The Evelina Children's Hospital Appeal.
Emma Wilson won the women's race in a spectacular time of 1 hour 24 seconds, with her team mates Sarah Chambers and Richard Moriarty following at 1 hour and 56 minutes.
CEO Sarah Chambers said: "It went really well. We all managed to finish, even surviving the horrible steep hill at the end. Most importantly, we have managed to raise just under £2,000 for good causes.
The racers join three other employees from Postcomm, Matt Gosden, Richard Moriarty and David Whiteley who took part in the Guys Tower Abseil in 2007, collectively raising over £1,500 for the Appeal.
