Grants Development Programme

Applicants are invited to submit a two sided outline application for a service development grant.

The theme for this programme is the translation of published, beneficial research into novel service developments. This can be interpreted as follows:

  • That there is a gap between the end of the research process and the implementation of a service development . This may be because a small scale service development arising from a research project has been shown to be beneficial but has not yet been robustly developed and evaluated in the ‘real world’.
  • That evidence based services are provided in other parts of the world, but have not been piloted and evaluated in the UK.

Applications are encouraged that address these gaps. Please bear in mind that this is not a research programme, the research must already be published.

Completed outline applications should be submitted by November 1st 2008. You can find out more about the application and funding process here or contact David Jones, Director of Grant Making on Tel: 020 7188 1207.

Since the Grants Development Programme was introduced in 2005, 20 projects have secured almost £3m from the Charity's New Services and Innovations and Small Grants Committees. See what has been supported »
