Retrospective review of the responsive Research and Development programmes 1998-2009
Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity has, for many years, been funding innovative and pioneering research across a diverse number of disease areas.
Its research portfolio captures a rich research expertise and boasts substantial outputs and outcomes. These include publications in many of the world’s leading scientific and medical journals; patents; spin-out companies and further funding secured from other national or international funding agencies; as well as input into health strategy and policy at government level.
In 2009-10, the Trustees commissioned a review of what has been achieved by research and development funding between 2000-2010.
The Charity has funded a wide range of research projects over the years
