Transitional Service Framework for Children and Young People with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD)

Project intentions:
Funding will help develop a transitional service for patients with DMD transferring from paediatric to adult care in order to optimise the cardio-respiratory, nutritional, functional and psychosocial management of this vulnerable patient group. This will be achieved by a Specialist DMD Therapist coordinating the multidisciplinary team with a re-structured neuromuscular clinic service.
