Over the years the support of many grateful patients, their
families, the Lambeth and Southwark communities, as well as local
businesses and individual philanthropists have supported Guy's and
St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, not least by contributing to the
Evelina Children's Hospital which opened in 2006.
There are many ways that you can help raise money for the
hospitals ranging from running marathons and taking part in
overseas treks to hosting a tea party. Read more for ideas on fundraising for

Early in 2011 the fundraising teams of Guy's and St Thomas'
Charity, King's College Hospital Charity, South London and Maudsley
Charitable Trustees and King's College London (on behalf of the
medical school) joined forces to create a fundraising team
which would focus on raising funds for King's Health Partners and
its constituent organisation including Guy's and St Thomas'
hospitals.
This radical approach towards fundraising aims to improve the
co-ordination of fundraising campaigns and approaches to donors, to
maximise the skills and experience within the new team, to have
greater impact in raising money with greater benefit to
patients.
The consolidation of the fundraising effort reflects the move
towards joining up clinical services and research across King's
Health Partners.
A grouping of this nature, bringing together three nationally
recognised healthcare providers, three health charities and a
world-leading university in a unified fundraising entity is unique
in this country.
The newly formed team will develop their fundraising activities
in 2012, with a particular focus on the following areas of clinical
care and research: cancer, trauma, neuroscience and mental health,
transplantation, paediatrics, and public health.
The team will also raise general funds for the Charity.
Additionally people are able to give to a specific department or
area of healthcare within Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation
Trust.
