The Charity provides financial support to improve
health services, and health and wellbeing in Lambeth and Southwark.
It awards grants, loans and other forms of finance to support
innovation in health. It also deploys its property and estates in
pursuit of health and healthcare improvement.

Our strategic priorities are informed by local health and
healthcare needs, particularly the major causes of premature death
- coronary heart disease, cancer, respiratory diseases and stroke -
and other health burdens such as mental illness.
Ill health in the two boroughs is associated with deprivation,
linked with social and environmental factors, as well as lifestyle
choices. As such, we aim to bring together various local and
national partners who can have an impact and catalyse efforts to
tackle these wider causes of health inequality.
