The Charity believes that the arts can contribute
to fulfilling its mission in many ways, for
example by enhancing the environment in which people are
treated and through arts interventions which can improve
clinical outcomes.
We require robust evidence of impact in all the projects we
support.
The Charity seeks to embed the arts in much of the work it
supports, and commissions the delivery of arts programmes from a
range of external providers.
This includes a programme of performing arts which
comprises free musical, poetry, theatre and other arts activities at
Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals.
The Charity maintains a prolific collection of art and heritage
at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, much of which is of
considerable historic value. It has also commissioned a variety of
site specific art works to enhance major refurbishments and capital
projects.
Further details of the Charity's collection of art and heritage
and commissions can be found here.
All applicants to the Charity (for whatever purpose) are asked
to consider the relevance of the arts to their project.
