Charitable funding for children's services at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust
The Evelina Children’s Fund’s Committee oversees a special funding programme that is open only to Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust departments providing care to children.
We also welcome applications from community-based services which are part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Community services applicants must demonstrate that the investment will benefit a significant number of children in Lambeth and Southwark.
This funding scheme is resourced through donations, and all grant holders will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to fundraising, without which grants would not be possible.
We welcome applications for funding for equipment, furnishings, refurbishment and other items that directly support children's care, which cannot be funded from other sources.
Items or projects must directly support children’s care through enhancing and improving facilities and services. Priority is given to applications for purchase of equipment.
Our Evelina Children’s Fund is for projects or items that cannot be funded by the NHS or other sources. Before applying, you should try to secure funds from Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and other sources. You will need to explain what you have done towards this in your application.
To ensure our funds have the greatest impact on improving care for children, there are some exclusions to what we can support.
The Evelina Children’s Fund cannot support:
The minimum award from our Evelina Children’s Fund is £500. There is no upper limit, although bear in mind that the Committee has only limited funds and large applications may be deferred to allow new funding to be raised.
These are only considered in the most exceptional circumstances
Applications for grants are carefully considered by the Evelina Children’s Fund committee, which is comprised of senior clinical and management staff from Evelina Children’s Hospital.
The Evelina Children’s Fund committee meets four times a year to assess applications.
To apply, follow the below process and submit your application by 16 November.
