We’re delighted to welcome two highly respected leaders in investment and technology to our board. Yasemin Lamy, currently Deputy Chief Investment Officer for higher risk strategies at CDC Group, joins us alongside Paul Brown, General Manager (Europe) for HTC Vive.
Prior to joining CDC Group, the UK’s development finance institution, Yasemin led strategy and research for Digital Innovation at Omidyar Network. Yasemin also spent several years at J.P. Morgan in London where she held a number of roles across impact investing, including Director of its award-winning Social Finance Unit, which encouraged the nascent impact investment industry.
Yasemin has been serving on our Strategy Advisory Committee since 2017, and now brings her extensive expertise as a Trustee. Commenting on the new appointment, she said:
Paul is an experienced media and technology executive. Before joining virtual reality and smartphone technology company HTC Vive, he held leadership positions at The Walt Disney Company and in the digital music and media sector including Spotify, Pandora Media and Sony Music. Paul began his career in corporate law, specialising in private equity and venture capital transactions. Speaking about joining our board, Paul said:
Kieron Boyle, our Chief Executive, added, "We're striving to be at the forefront of new impact management, data and digital approaches as we tackle complex urban health issues. Paul and Yasemin bring a wealth of experience across different sectors, and their addition will catalyse the impact we have as a Charity."
Our two new Trustees join eight more experts on our board. Together, they help shape the strategic direction of our programmes on childhood obesity and multiple long-term conditions, and our efforts to support Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust to provide world-class care.
Our staff, trustees and committee members bring together a unique combination of expertise, skills and drive to meet our ambition of tackling major health challenges
